Safe Water Sports: Safety at sea and water sports

We have been supporting a series of actions by NGO Safe Water Sports, which strives to raise awareness on issues relating to water activities (sports & recreational), focusing on accident safety and prevention. It also seeks to reinforce the institutional framework in place in Greece with regard to safety.

Safe Water Sports is an innovative initiative that tries to continuously and systematically mobilize all private and public sector groups, with the aim of organizing, updating and reinforcing the safety polices and legislation in force for water sports.

One-Day Event on Safety at Sea and Safe Water Sports

An event was organized on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 12:00pm by the NGO Safe Water Sports, in partnership with HYGEIA Group, on “Safe Water Sports and Safety at Sea”. The event was held in the N. Louros Conference Center, MITERA Hospital, and was open to the public.

The presentation focused on the need to boost the efforts for safety at sea and safe water sports, on effective accident preparedness by the State and the private sector, on lifeguard actions, as well as on actions and initiatives developed by the NGO.
