Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department

The members of the department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery are devoting their efforts to all aspects of Plastic Surgery, reconstructive and aesthetic.

Their long experience, their gratifying results, even in complicated cases, such as microsurgical reconstruction of facial paralysis and of other peripheral nerves, free tissue transfer, etc. make this department unique in Greece and competitive with similar Centers in Europe and the U.S.A.

The fields of interest include:

Aesthetic Surgery:

• Surgery of the face (facelift, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, otoplasty etc).
• Body contouring: Liposuction, Cosmetic surgery of the breast (augmentation / reduction), Abdominoplasty (tommy tuck), Brachioplasty (arm lift), buttock and thigh lift, Reconstructive surgery following bariatric surgery and massive weight loss.

Reconstructive surgery:

• Breast reconstruction after mastectomy (with the use of breast implants, pedicle or free flaps, combined methods).
• Facial reanimation.
• Peripheral nerve reconstructions/ hand surgery.
• Surgery for benign or malignant tumors of the skin and soft tissues (head and neck cancer, malignant melanoma, sarcomas, radical lymphadenectomies, reconstruction of complex defects).
• Reconstruction following extensive deeps burns.
• Cranio-maxillo-facial surgery (congenital anomalies, craniosynostosis, orthognathic surgery, acquired deformities, facial fractures).

There is daily collaboration of the members of the department, with other departments in the hospital or in other hospitals of the HYGEIA GROUP.
