Our Cardiac Department operates in HYGEIA over the past 25 years with experience of both classical and modern technology. With international collaboration and experience of 15,000 open heart operations can without exaggeration address a wide range of surgical diseases of the heart with the best possible results worldwide. Our cooperation with our interventional cardiology has brought us to the forefront of developments with our participation in the placement of valves without extracorporeal circulation and surgical incisions.

In our Hospital we are the only surgical team that participates actively in the procedures being part of the Heart Team.
The Heart Team is an organized cardiac team encompassing multiple specialties, which focuses on resolving complex and controversial heart conditions. However, it mainly specializes in transcatheter repairs or cardiac valve placements.
