Institute of Life MITERA – Assisted Reproduction Unit is among the leading fertility units in Greece and one of the top 50 in the world, accredited by Global Clinic Rating ™ (GCR).

GCR (www.gcr.org) is a leading international body that rates hospitals and clinics, after collecting and analyzing data from more than 400,000 health units in 126 countries globally. It recently awarded this international accreditation to Institute of Life MITERA. GCR has the largest database of hospitals and clinics worldwide and its representatives visited Institute of Life MITERA to review its standards and protocols, concluding that the level of experience, infrastructure, services and patient response scored much higher than the international benchmark.

The GCR-accredited Institute of Life MITERA, is one of the most advanced fertility units in Greece and Europe, with highly qualified medical and nursing personnel, leading embryologists, nutritionists and mental health experts with long experience in the IVF field. Its Embryology Lab is equipped with the latest technology in assisted reproduction, such as the RI Witness electronic monitoring system, which  monitors every stage of the fertility process, and ensures sample identification within the lab, ruling out the likelihood of an error occurring by 100%. Moreover, the embryo culture system is redesigned from scratch and the lab is equipped with new incubators and workstations, ensuring stable conditions that favor optimum embryo development.

The GCR accreditation of Institute of Life MITERA was unveiled for the first time during the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). The conference took place in Barcelona and brought together more than 11,500 scientists from around the world, that specialize in the field of assisted reproduction. Delegates who participated in the ESHRE medical conference had the opportunity to visit the exhibition booth of Institute of Life MITERA and learn more about the modern facilities, the state-of-the art Embryology Lab and the latest techniques available to international couples that seek IVF treatment in Greece.
