HYGEIA Group Honors World Quality Day 2016
14 November 2016
Guided by patient safety and its commitment to provide quality healthcare services in all its hospitals and companies, HYGEIA Group honored the World Quality Day 2016, celebrated on November 10 this year.
The message for this year’s World Quality Day was “Making Operational Governance Count”, in effect promoting the corporate administration, values, processes and control points a company must adopt and implement to offer top-quality products or services to the public.
Having accepted the challenge for excellence in healthcare provision and in proper operational governance all these years, HYGEIA Group, a member of Marfin Investment Group (MIG), has been implementing best practices and adopting the strictest standards worldwide. This applies both when organizing and implementing effective quality management systems and when incorporating policies for business ethics, risk management and emergency management, for the benefit of its patients, employees, shareholders and society in general.
The fact that it has been awarded and still maintains accreditations and certifications from distinguished organizations such as Joint Commission International (JCI), ISO & OHSAS for all the Group companies serves as irrefutable proof to this. Furthermore, note that HYGEIA is the first hospital in Greece to have been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the leading accreditation worldwide for Quality and Safety standards in healthcare services.
Commenting on the message of the day, HYGEIA Group CEO Mr Andreas Kartapanis noted, “At HYGEIA Group our unwavering priority is to continue to offer healthcare services in compliance with the highest standards worldwide, placing HYGEIA Group among the recognized leading international organizations. The quality management systems we implement are a solid addition to our arsenal for safe, effective and individualized patient care. We continue to remain competitive, while ensuring our growth, to the benefit of all our stakeholders.”
* World Quality Day was introduced by the United Nations in 1990, to increase worldwide awareness of the important contribution that quality makes towards both organisational and national growth, and prosperity. It is celebrated around the world every year on the second Thursday of November.
