Another award for the “Travelling for Health” program from BRAVO 2023

HYGEIA has once again received an important award in the “Society” pillar of BRAVO 2023 institution for its corporate social responsibility action “Traveling for Health”. The award was presented at the 14th annual Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2023 event, organized by the QualityNet Foundation.

Through its comprehensive Corporate Responsibility program, which is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), HYGEIA seeks to stand firmly beside society, not as an observer, but as an integral part of it. Covering the needs of medical care in remote areas of the country, raising awareness and providing information on health issues and making a direct social contribution to the Health Sector are the main pillars on which it plans and implements actions with a substantial, strongly positive social impact.

In this context, for 11 consecutive years it has been travelling in order to meet the important health needs of the inhabitants of small islands and mountainous communities that do not have easy access to medical services. With the voluntary participation of doctors and HYGEIA employees (nursing, administrative and technical staff), we organize a campaign of practical help and we are “Traveling for Health”, offering the top medical services and cutting-edge technological equipment to the people who need us.

To date, 11 volunteer campaigns have been carried out, more than 11,166 people have been examined and more than 43,158 medical and diagnostic tests have been performed (Lipsi & Agathonisi, Karpenisi, Karpathos, Kalavryta, Kalambaka, Leros, Tilos-Nisyros, Argos Orestiko, Symi, Argithea Agrafa, Sifnos).

Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2023 is a multi-stakeholder institution for dialogue and highlighting initiatives that support a sustainable future. It emphasizes the promotion of a systematic social dialogue, aiming to create a broader culture on Sustainable Development issues, based on the pioneering initiatives developed in our country.
