HYGEIA is fully aware of its increasing social responsibilities and the sensitive nature of the area it serves; an area where healthcare is directly associated with the values of respect and compassion towards our fellow citizens. Our fundamental aim is to give from the heart, and this is the reason why the main pillar of our corporate responsibility encompasses the very meaning of volunteerism.
We implement an extensive social contribution program, which includes all types of aid: provision of goods, medical services, medical equipment and know-how; financial aid; support to vulnerable social groups; assistance to institutions and NGOs; aid campaigns to areas all over Greece with limited access to healthcare; etc.
In addition, as part of the commitment to keep investing in education, HYGEIA Hospital organizes and implements educational programs, offering students the opportunity to do their internship in medical and healthcare specialties. It also organizes school visits, where children are given a tour of the Hospital, witness daily medical acts and get acquainted with the demanding requirements of a hospital such as HYGEIA, which has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) for its quality services and patient safety standards.
