The Data Protection Department is responsible for HYGEIA Group’s compliance to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

The new Regulation lays down the fundamental principles regarding the lawfulness of any personal data processing, safeguards a series of fundamental rights of citizens, and establishes the obligations of the Data Protection Officer and Data Processors, as these arise from the fundamental principles.

The Data Protection Officer ensures that the measures, policies and procedures that form the foundation for harmonizing the operations of the Group companies with the Regulation are implemented horizontally. They also ensure that anyone who has disclosed their personal data to the HYGEIA Group companies has the right to exercise all the personal data protection rights set out in the legislation, i.e. access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and represent HYGEIA Group before the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
