The 2nd Greek Congress on Oncologic Imaging was hosted at Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens on December 9-11, 2011. It was immensely successful as more than 500 people participated in the event.
The advent of technology, the developments in medical imaging and the new treatments available in Oncology, coupled with the significance of early diagnosis and cancer staging, have created the necessary conditions for these two specialties to coexist in everyday clinical practice. As a result, the new dynamic field of Oncologic Imaging has emerged internationally.
The Congress included talks and round-table discussions, while various scientific studies were also presented (in the form of posters). Moreover, the Congress was dedicated to the memory of Professor Kostas Papavasileiou.
