1st Private Healthcare Nursing Conference Nurses Are Pioneers in Patient Safety. JCI and the Greek Reality Athens Music Hall

About 1,500 people attended the successful 1st Private Healthcare Nursing Conference held at the Athens Music Hall from September 30 to October 2, 2010. The Conference was organized by HYGEIA Group and the Hellenic National Nurses Association, along with the Hellenic Midwives Association.
The Conference was held under the aegis of the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the Greek Health Ministry, the Prefect of Athens, the Mayor of Athens, the Mayor of Maroussi and the 1st and 2nd Technological Educational Institutes of Athens. Nurses and midwives from Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Albania, as well as doctors and other healthcare professionals, attended the Conference. The Chairman of the HYGEIA and MITERA Board of Dircetors, Mr Konstantinos Stavrou, as well as a number of representatives from Greek public organizations, delivered welcoming speeches during the opening ceremony.
