The Scientific Seminar “18th Top-10 on Infections” Concluded Successfully

The Scientific Seminar “18th Top-10 on Infections”, jointly hosted by the HYGEIA 1st Department of Internal Medicine and the Alfa Institute of Biomedical Sciences, was completed successfully on Saturday 10 December 2022 at the N. Louros Conference Center, MITERA.

This scientific event has been running for the last 18 years, and is addressed to doctors of various specialties, including internists, surgeons, gynecologists, microbiologists, dermatologists, pediatricians, and infectious disease specialists, to nurses, and to health science students.

Distinguished scientists participated in the seminar as speakers or chairs and presented interesting infectious disease cases, the latest on new and emerging infections, as well as the developments in vaccines and the treatment against Covid-19 infection.

The Scientific Head of the seminar was Dr. Matthew Falagas, Professor of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and Director of the HYGEIA 1st Department of Internal Medicine.
