HYGEIA is committed to supporting the sports ideals and will continue to sponsor the Hellenic Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities (HSFPD) for another 4 years (2021-2024). This way it once again actively demonstrates its social empathy and the boundless support initiatives it undertakes with a deep sense of responsibility, offering to athletes the necessary tools to make their dreams come true and elevate Greece to the highest step of the podium.
The new sponsorship is addressed to the national and planning teams until December 2024 and includes:
- free-of-charge medical services (medical and diagnostic tests) nationwide
- free-of-charge PCR tests upon departure and arrival of the national delegations participating in World and European championships
- adoption of individual athletes
- supply of sporting goods and equipment for athletes participating in World championships
The renewal of the sponsorship, following a successful partnership counting more than nine years, was sealed in a meeting between the Chairman and CEO of HYGEIA, Mr. Andreas Kartapanis, and the President of the HSFPD, Ms. Ioanna Karyofylli. During the meeting, which was also attended by the technical advisor and head of the HSFPD sponsorships, Ms. Ioanna Padioti, the HSFPD President honored Mr. Kartapanis for the support offered by HYGEIA all these years, by presenting him with the Federation medals in a special box.The HYGEIA Chairman and CEO, Mr. Andreas Kartapanis, stated, “HYGEIA has been standing by the HSFPD and the Greek athletes since 2012. It’s the least we can do to make a contribution to these brilliant individuals, who do not buckle in the face of adversities and continue to fight like heroes, with tenacity and high ideals. The new sponsorship aims to pave the way for even greater successes, both in sports and on a personal level.”
The President of the HSFPD, Ms. Ioanna Karyofylli, noted, “We are extremely lucky for having HYGEIA stand by our federation, supporting our efforts, but also meeting our needs. Only through strong alliances will the sporting efforts of people with disabilities develop and grow. This is what we have been striving for, and will continue to do so in the future. A huge thank you to all the HYGEIA executives who offer abundantly their valuable knowledge, both medical and diagnostic, to our athletes whenever the HSFPD makes a request.”
