Renovates the Children’s Ward of the Ippokratio General Hospital Transplantation Clinic in Thessaloniki

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and driven by its compassion for society and its fellow citizens, MITERA Hospital – a member of HYGEIA Group – recently renovated the Children’s Ward of the Ippokratio General Hospital Transplantation Clinic in Thessaloniki.

MITERA Hospital immediately responded to the request of the Thessaloniki Association of Kidney Patients, renovating the Children’s Ward and upgrading the equipment.

“MITERA’s upgrading of the Children’s Ward at the Ippokratio General Hospital Transplantation Clinic in Thessaloniki is considered the ultimate contribution to patients and their healthcare needs,”noted Christos Karagkiozis, President of the Thessaloniki Association of Kidney Patients. He further added, “I believe that transplantation of kidneys and other solid organs is a matter that should concern every society and culture, since it is our next-door neighbor who may end up suffering from kidney failure and needing a transplant. Offering quality medical services within a safe environment is a matter of human dignity and self-respect. The way we treat the more vulnerable members of our society mirrors our integrity.”
