A Scientific Meeting on the New Technologies in the Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer’s was held on September 18, 2010, on the occasion of the World Alzheimer’s Day. The Meeting was organized by HYGEIA Hospital’s Neurodegenerative Brain Diseases Department & Memory Clinic and was attended by 150 physicians and healthcare professionals.
During the seminar, the organizers presented the innovative SOCIABLE program, which aims at empowering mental abilities and increasing the social skills of healthy elderly individuals as well as patients at the onset of Alzheimer’s, through the application of new IT and communications technologies, and specifically, touch screen technologies.
