Pain is an unpleasant, subjective experience with an objective impact on a person’s daily and social life, work and mental condition. Medical science has advanced towards offering specialized treatment of pain by physicians trained on chronic pain syndromes, pain related to neoplastic diseases, as well as post-injury or post-operative pain.
The Pain Center continuously works closely with all our Hospital departments and attending physicians — such as surgeons, orthopedic specialists, physiatrists, oncologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, internal medicine specialists, etc — so as to offer patients comprehensive treatment, by implementing pharmaceutical, interventional or alternative treatments. Patient assessment and treatment is multidisciplinary, involving appropriate specialists as needed, to ensure optimal management of all biomedical and psychological aspects of pain problems.
At the Pain Center, the physicians propose an individualized treatment plan, tailor-made to address each patient’s specific problem. It is also possible to receive support from a psychologist or psychiatrist, provided both for patients and their immediate environment consent.
