5th Internal Medicine Department

The 5th Internal Medicine Department:

• Offers diagnosis, management and treatment for all general medical conditions, emergency and not.
• Prevents general medical conditions, both in terms of clinical patient follow-up and in terms of raising awareness among population groups with talks and scientific presentations.
• Works together with all clinical departments and labs with the aim of preventing and treating general medical conditions.
• Implements all the modern techniques, focusing on geriatrics, infectious diseases and oncology.
• Follows up on a number of outpatients, assisted by the Home Care Department.
• Maintains regular contact with national health bodies, such as the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) and the Hellenic Center for Disease Control & Prevention (HCDCP).
• Trains new physicians in Internal Medicine.
