A Lab Full of Love!
HYGEIA immediately responded to the request of the Ergastiri (Lab) Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Disabilities for medical assistance for the people it cares for.
It offered a free-of-charge annual check-up, treatment for medical emergencies at the Hospital’s Outpatient Clinic and emergency ambulance transfer.
It also donated a display case to showcase the medals and cups won by the members in various sporting and other events. It further hired a person from Ergastiri and changed the tires in the Association’s van.
In June 2013, a team of HYGEIA volunteers visited the Ergastiri and were given a tour of the facilities and the various workshops it runs, dedicated to the vocational training of the Association’s members. After the tour, a meal service was organized in a room specially prepared for the event, and HYGEIA Group distributed meals, desserts and juices (donated by Vivartia), as well as T-shirts and caps to the 93 members hosted by the Association, who danced for the volunteers and offered them drawings.
HYGEIA continues to offer financial aid to the Ergastiri.
